Velveteen Lops
Velveteen Lops are a new breed created from English Lops and Rex rabbits.  This gives them the soft, plush, "velveteen" fur of the
Rex breed while retaining a smaller version of the English Lop body type.  They love human affection and make sweet, soft,
wonderful pets.  They are often affectionately referred to as "V-lops."

The breed standard calls for an ideal weight of about 6 pounds, but it is not uncommon for these bunnies to weigh up to about 8
pounds.  According to the standard, ears should be at least 14 inches from base to tip.

Mary Crawford holds the current Certificate of Development and passed solid-colored Velveteens at the
National ARBA
Conference in Michigan in October 2007.
